Publication Ethics and Malpractice

Contributions submitted to LFE should not be under consideration in any other journal. The article should contain only authentic material, and the author should also cite and acknowledge external sources.
Plagiarised texts will result in an immediate rejection of the manuscript and the inability to resubmit the same article for consideration in LFE.
The authors must sign a copyright agreement before their work is published in the Journal. This form must be sent upon request or downloaded
here. Once completed and signed by the corresponding author (also on behalf of all the authors), the form is sent to the following address:

Revista de Lenguas para Fines Específicos
Despacho 125
C/ Pérez del Toro, 1
E35004 - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

If the article includes images taken from elsewhere, an image copyright form is also needed. Make sure that you have written consent from the authors, and attach this consent to the image copyright form. Fresh image copyright forms are sent to prospective LFE authors on demand.

The authors retain the copyright of the texts but should apply for permission in case they wish to publish the text in its present form elsewhere.

Please, download the review form here; for book reviews, dowload the form here.
Reviewers are asked to:

  • keep confidentiality concerning the assigned article,
  • use the review form sent with the assigned article,
  • return the review in due time,
  • provide objective feedback,
  • avoid personal and discriminatory comments, and
  • notify the Editors if unable to review the assigned article.
Note that, although we follow a blind review policy, you must return the assigned paper if you have clear suspects that you know who the author is.
